FROM PAPATŪĀNUKU TO YOUR RING
I pride myself on New Zealand gemstones and that is all that you will find here in my jewellery.
Transforming the raw stone into a perfectly cut and polished gemstone in which I then delicately hand-craft the metal to set the stone. It’s not an easy nor a quick job, crafting both the stone and fabricating the metal but it’s oh so worth it.
Because all of the work is done here, by me, it means there is a direct line from the raw earth to your ring and you know exactly who, how and where your precious ring has been crafted. Which I believe is extremely important in this day and age. The stones have only passed through no more than three hands to get to you with no mining, no unfair wages, no harsh chemicals (you get the idea) and have come safely from local rivers (or old river beds) and beaches here in New Zealand.
The raw materials already speak for themselves, Papatūānuku has done most of the work. I am here to gently and respectfully craft these precious Aotearoa minerals into pieces of art that will adorn fingers for many generations to come. An intricate and respectful approach to design and hand-crafts with intent in a world full of mass produced products.

Each and every single piece of jewellery is hand crafted in my Waikato studio including the precious stones. I am able to create unique shapes in the precious stones such as Pounamu and fit them perfectly into a piece of jewellery….
