Courtneys vision here at Courtney Marama Jewellery is to produce high end, modern jewellery in an ethical way and demonstrate a responsible attitude towards the environment and her heritage, Māori culture. She does this by hand making everything right here in her Waikato studio. She uses 50% recycled metals and locally sourced stones which are, of course, cut and carved there too. "I believe we need to truly respect our materials that come from Papatuanuku.”

Bold and vibrant yet down to earth and versatile, Courtney has captured her unique style and crafted it into beautiful one-off bespoke jewellery.

Courtney studied Jewellery design and manufacturing in Wellington, Aotearoa (New Zealand) for 3 years before heading to Te Wai Pounamu (The South Island) to immerse herself in the rich stone carving culture we have here in Aotearoa.  From there she learnt about stones and carving which lead her to be self taught in lapidary/faceting. Making each and every single piece 100% one off and unique.  This eventually resulting in the creation of Courtney Marama Jewellery, her own collection of taonga (jewellery/treasure) that strikes a balance between ancient Māori history and modern techniques, resulting in an unparalleled aesthetic and remarkable identifiable style.
